Since there may be others that stumble across my blog in addition to the my huge exisiting audience of...I don't know...Six? Three?, I figured I'd post a little "about me" type thing in order to properly (well sort of) introduce myself:
I’m an almost-40 mom of 2 - a 10 year old boy and a 3 year old girl.
I'm an only child who thought that having children so far apart in age meant that they wouldn't fight.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
My husband is an "older man" which was very exotic back when I was 21 and he was 30, but now just makes me glad that I can always point out that he's older than me.
He has six sisters.
Older sisters.
Yes, he WAS spoiled when I met him, why do you ask?
18 years later and he still leaves his underwear on the bathroom floor EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I have been known to take the things that he leaves lying around and write “I Love Penis” on them in permanent marker.
I work full time in a job that I love and I know how very lucky I am to have found a company that buys you food and gets you massages and takes you on vacations, especially after 10 years working for poverty wages with a boss you may have heard of before - Satan.
I love to read and spend way too much money on books. I'll take books over shoes anyday - fashion plate I am not.
I'm an over-sharer and I love to talk, which is how I ended up starting a blog - everyone I know in real life is either sick of hearing me talk or already knows everything.
I'm a previously skinny person and Florene Marks is either my best friend or nemesis, depending on when you catch me.
I love ethnic foods - especially Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and African.
Oh, who am I kidding - I love all food.
And beer.
And rum & coke.
My favorite wine is Viognier.
I love Disney World.
I'm liberal and love to torment by conservative brother-in-law by wearing political t-shirts every day on vacation.
What? I deserve to have a little fun, since I go on vacation every other year with 60+ of my in-laws.
Yeah, you heard me right.
Clearly I am either insane or a saint.
I love TV and I'm not ashamed of it. I get tired of TV-hating snobbery. If you don't like it, fine.
But I am not less educated, less intelligent or less sophisticated because I do.
I might be willing to reconsider the sophisticated one, but I don't have time - Survivor's on.
